🌟 Introducing Our Weekly Employee Spotlight! 🌟

We are excited to begin recognizing the amazing individuals who help make our agency so special each week — and we are kicking things off with Jamie Burnette! 👏

Jamie serves as our Health Services Manager and has been a dedicated member of our agency for 21 years. His knowledge, dependability, and commitment to serving our children and families are appreciated more than words can say.

Jamie works diligently to ensure our children’s health needs and requirements are always up to date, while also overseeing our outstanding maintenance team and helping ensure our centers are safe, cared for, and running smoothly each day.

We are incredibly thankful for Jamie’s hard work, leadership, and dedication to our agency over the years!

Pikeville Head Start held their annual End of the Year Celebration!

It has been an honor and pleasure to serve the children and families this 2025-2026 school year. Thank you all for making this year, bringing back the preschool classroom, such a joy! We are not only proud of the progress of our children but their families too! What a turnout and support each child had yesterday! 🥳

On May 8th, Pikeville Head Start took on Pikeville Elementary with our 2 out of 3 who will be going to kindergarten next year! We would like to thank Mrs. Cynde Perry for the tour of the cafeteria, gymnasium, kindergarten classrooms, playground, and library along with explaining what they will do in each area! She did a wonderful job!

Thank you Pikeville Elementary for giving our future kindergarteners this opportunity! They are so excited for the big school!✏️🖍️📚

Our Whitwell Head Start kiddos had the BEST time celebrating their moms and/or special family members during our Mother’s Day craft last week! 💐💖

Thank you to everyone who was able to join us and make the day so special. The smiles, hugs, and sweet memories made it a wonderful celebration!

Happy Belated Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms and mother figures out there! 🌷✨

Tiny backpacks, big dreams 💙 Our Whitwell Head Start kiddos had the best time visiting Whitwell Elementary School today as they get ready for “big school” in August!

We are so thankful for the incredible community support shown during Teacher Appreciation Week at Tracy City Head Start! ❤️

A huge thank you to Ben Lomand for the loaded teas from Off the Rail, Bivens Chapel Church for the delicious loaded baked potatoes, Sequatchie Electric for the amazing sweet tray from Mountain Goat, First Baptist Church for providing Chick-fil-A, April Cash for the donuts and blondie iced coffee, and Rosie’s Kitchen for providing breakfast during the week.

We would also like to give a very special thank you to Michael Brady, Nathan Sanders, Gayle VanHooser, Tyler McCullough, the Ladies Sunday School Class at Bivens Chapel, Kelly Gibbs, Gayle VanHooser & Amelia Owenby, Tera Hampton, Wendy Tipton, and Ashley Meeks, Tiffany Meeks, and Drema Nunley for the thoughtful gifts given to our teachers.
