The Friends of Shakamak SP are working to fund a platform marking the point where the three counties (Sullivan, Greene, and Clay) in which the park lies meet. These three counties worked together to promote the creation of Shakamak State Park in 1929. The Indiana Parks Alliance is honored to provide a 2026 Tom Hohman Small Project Grant to help fund this project, which will make the information and site accessible to all. Your memberships and gifts provide the funds that allow IPA to offer these grants for projects. Thanks to members and donors, we are giving $15,000 in project grants and $5,000 in direct Trails for Tomorrow project grants this spring. Learn more about IPA and donate at indianaparksalliance.org.
