Just a reminder that public comment for the proposed 2019-2020 school calendar is being accepted until December 7. During the calendar presentation, Board Members raised questions, including:

- Should schools be closed for students on Veterans Day?

- Should the end of the second quarter be moved from January 24 to January 17?

The Board is looking for your feedback on these questions, as well as the rest of the calendar. All feedback received via http://www.hcps.org/contactus/contactform/default.aspx?subject=1&message=Proposed%202019-2020%20Calendar will be shared with the Board before they make their final decision at the Board of Education meeting on December 17.

North Bend's Walk A Thon is THURSDAY and we still need A LOT of help in order to pull this all together. Even if you can only help for a little while, we welcome you to come join us! We have volunteer opportunities in the following areas:

Setup: Thursday Morning 7:30-9
Games: Throughout the Event
Kona Ice: After the Walk/Lunch time
Clean Up: After the Event
PreK Lunch Chaperones: During Picnic Lunch
Kindergarten Lunch Chaperones: During Picnic Lunch
1st Grade Lunch Chaperones: During Picnic Lunch
2nd Grade Lunch Chaperones: During Picnic Lunch
3rd Grade Lunch Chaperones: During Picnic Lunch
4th Grade Lunch Chaperones: During Picnic Lunch
5th Grade Lunch Chaperones: During Picnic Lunch
Event Photographers (pictures will be screened by the front office before use in the yearbook): Through out walk and picnic lunch

Have you joined North Bend Elementary’s PTA yet?

If you answered no, you are missing out! There are so many benefits to joining, like staying connected, networking with other parents and driving the change at NBE you want to see. In addition, this year, the NBE PTA has a new leadership team in place and we want you to get involved so together we can make this our best year yet!
