The Community Garden of POCAHONTAS is officially OPEN to the public!

We are thrilled to announce that the Pocahontas Co. Garden is now open and ready to grow—with YOU!

This garden is a true labor of love, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible dedication, generosity, and hard work of our amazing community. To every neighbor who donated time, rolled up their sleeves, brought tools, or contributed resources—THANK YOU!

A special shout out to our energetic youth volunteers, Mr. Howard, Mr. Futrell, and our generous corporate sponsors at RWE. Your contributions have planted more than vegetables—you’ve sown seeds of unity, growth, and hope.

Let this be the beginning of something beautiful. A place where we nurture not only the earth, but our connections with each other. Here’s to a future filled with fresh food, shared wisdom, and strong community bonds.

Updates coming soon..the Community Garden of Pocahontas is up and running! Fun-tastic Friday crew is doing great! Funtastic FRIDAYS will resume in May/June due to our hectic sports schedule. Recreation nights will continue at the Pocahontas Temple Baptist Church but will be on a different day---STAY tuned!!! The garden, sponsored by the Rosey Legacy Foundation is OPEN 24/7 to the community and volunteers. We are generally there at least weekly on Saturdays/Sundays. Feel free to stop by and add a plant or two. Make it pretty! :D (620 Higgins St Wakefield, VA) Love yall and thanks for any and all support!
