⛳ What a day on the course!

Thank you to Ann and the team at Family Promise of Greater Beloit for inviting Michelle M. Adkins, our Director of Resource Development, to join you at your Annual Golf Outing. It was a beautiful day, and an even better chance to learn more about how Family Promise walks alongside families experiencing homelessness and helps them find stability.

United Way Blackhawk Region mobilizes communities to action so all can thrive, and that starts with showing up, listening, and building real relationships with the partners doing this work every day. Conversations like these help us understand how we can support Family Promise, and the families they serve, even better.

There is always space between what happens to you and how you respond.

That one idea anchored today’s Nonprofit Leadership Workshop, hosted at the Beloit Public Library and led by our own Dr. Dennis Pauli, Interim President and CEO of United Way Blackhawk Region.

Leaders from across our region worked through the 5 Voices, named the triggers that surface under stress, and practiced building new patterns instead of repeating the ones they regret.

Big thanks to Nick Dimassis and the Beloit Public Library team for opening their doors and taking such good care of this group.

United Way mobilizes communities to action, and that starts with leaders ready to show up well for their teams and their neighbors. 💙

Like so many around the world, we are remembering Dolly Parton: an extraordinary artist, storyteller, and philanthropist whose generosity reached far beyond the stage.

Among the many parts of her legacy is Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, built on a simple belief that every child should grow up with books. The program has placed millions of books into the hands and homes of children, helping families build a love of reading from the very start.

That belief is one we recognize in our own work. When we invest in children and families, whole communities thrive.

Her music will be remembered, and so will her humor, her generosity, and every life she touched. We are thinking of her family, her friends, and everyone grieving her loss.

40 Community Members. 40 Pathways to Success.

This past Thursday, we distributed 40 laptops through the Wisconsin Digital Connectivity and Navigation program, ensuring income-eligible individuals have the technology and digital navigation services they need to access employment, education, and healthcare resources.

Thanks to Aaron and United Way of Wisconsin for making this possible. Technology access is a necessity, and together we're closing the digital divide in our community. 🙌
