In the midst of getting a new Holmes (Enola) adaptation (from Nancy Springer's book series), we lost the actress who played the lead in the Japanese series, "Miss Sherlock." Yuko Takeuchi was 40 years old and is survived by a husband and two children. We watched some of the Miss Sherlock episodes in the meetings of the Original Tree Worshippers (back when we had meetings, sigh), and her portrayal was interesting, touching, and fun.

The star was found dead in her apartment this Sunday in an apparent su***de.

The Original Tree Worshippers were sad to hear that our member Herb Emmel passed away on Sunday August 9, 2020. We miss him at our Sherlockian meetings, where, on at least one memorable occasion, he entertained us with his magic skills. He was 95. You can read more about Herb here:
