DONT FORGET TO COME BY AND JOIN US TODAY.

PLEASE NOTE: our NON CHIPPABLE ITEMS dumpster is NOW FULL. We are still planning on being here until 1pm or out chipping dumpster is full.

06/17/2026

Free chipping event this Saturday from 9am to 12pm or when at capacity whichever comes first.

Please bring what can be chipped. Root balls palms weeds wood with nails bamboo these items can not be chipped.

We operate on a grant system and we have limited funds. Having to take large amounts to the landfill results in large bills. For us to be able to continue to have these events we need to be smart.

We look forward to seeing you.
We will be at the Jamul Community Church office located at 14866 Lyons Valley Rd, Jamul, CA 91935

Thank you.

🚨 A Message to the Jamul Community 🚨

For years, the Jamul Fire Safe Council has worked tirelessly to help make our community safer from the threat of wildfire. Through community education, chipping events, defensible space programs, partnerships with firefighters and emergency agencies, grant opportunities, and wildfire preparedness outreach, we have been dedicated to protecting the people, homes, and landscapes of Jamul.

Today, we need your help.

Like many volunteer-driven organizations, the Jamul Fire Safe Council depends on community members who are willing to step forward and serve. Without additional volunteers and new Board Members, our organization may be forced to cease operations by the end of this year.

If the Fire Safe Council were to shut down, Jamul could lose a valuable resource that has helped advocate for wildfire safety, secure funding opportunities, organize community events, and provide critical education and preparedness programs that benefit us all.

We are asking residents who care about the future safety and resilience of Jamul to consider joining our Board of Directors. You do not need to be a wildfire expert—just someone who cares about our community and wants to make a difference.

This is your opportunity to help shape the future of wildfire preparedness in Jamul and ensure that the work we've built together continues for years to come.

If you are interested in learning more about serving on the Board or volunteering with the Jamul Fire Safe Council, please send us a message or contact us today.

Together, we can continue building a safer, stronger, and more fire-resilient Jamul.

❤️ Thank you for your support.

🚨 Thank You, Jamul Community 🚨
TRASH EVENT CLOSED, DUMPSTERS ARE FULL
Our plan for our future trash events are to get more dumpsters

The Jamul Fire Safe Council Fire Safe Council would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who came out to support today’s community trash cleanup event. Your participation is a powerful reminder of how much our community cares about keeping Jamul safe, clean, and wildfire-ready. 👏🔥

We also want to sincerely apologize to those who were turned away. We understand the event was scheduled to run until 1:00 PM, but unfortunately, all of our dumpsters filled up much faster than anticipated. We know how frustrating that was, and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding.

Please know — we hear you. Moving forward, we are actively working on securing additional dumpsters and improving capacity so we can better serve everyone at future events.

♻️ Good news: More community trash cleanup events are already in the works, and we’re committed to making them bigger and better to accommodate the incredible turnout we saw today.
Thank you again for showing up and doing your part to protect our community.

A reminder from the San Diego County Sheriff's Office: we have a new non-emergency phone number.

Call (858) 868-3200 for non-emergencies such as suspicious activity, noise complaints, non-urgent reports and general information/inquiries about the Sheriff's Office.

Please help us spread the word by updating your phone and sharing with your family and friends.

Recently, the Sheriff’s Office launched an Artificial Intelligence (AI) call processing system designed to reduce waiting times for up to 400,000 non-emergency calls per year, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Calls to (858) 868-3200 will now be greeted by a carefully trained and tested Voice AI agent. The AI asks a short series of questions to transfer the caller to the correct Sheriff's resource, provide the caller with the information they are seeking or connect the caller with a dispatcher. All calls for service will still be handled by live Sheriff's Emergency Services Dispatchers.

In the event of an emergency, call 9-1-1 if there is an immediate threat to life or property, a crime in progress, serious injury, fire or medical emergency. All 9-1-1 calls will continue to be answered by trained Sheriff's Emergency Services Dispatchers.
