Good morning.
Due to the heat and mechanical issues we are going to have to close up the chipping event this morning. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Thank you for your understanding. We will see you next month. We will be having our monthly meeting 9/8/2026.
Get involved with the council come to the meeting.
We are looking at doing a trash event next month as well be on the look out for that information

Don't forget tomorrow we will be holding our monthly chipping event.
It will be hot some come early. As always it is first come first serve starting at 09. once we are full we are full. We will do our best to get everyone who comes taken care of.
We can use help as well with these events and others. If you're interested come by and talk to Steve about how you can help.

The Jamul Fire Safe Council’s FREE Community Chipping Event has been rescheduled.

📅 NEW DATE: Saturday, August 22, 2026
⏰ 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.

📍 Jamul Community Church — Lyons Valley Campus
14866 Lyons Valley Road, Jamul, CA 91935

Bring your small branches, tree limbs, shrubs and other approved vegetation to be chipped or properly disposed of. This free event helps residents create defensible space and reduce wildfire hazards throughout our community.

Important reminders:
✅ Branches must be six inches in diameter or smaller

🚫 No palm fronds, poison oak or bug-infested materials

🪪 Proof of residency in the Jamul 91935 area is required

🚫 Absolutely no contractors

💪 Please bring your own help to unload

🪚 There will not be a chainsaw available on-site

For more than eight decades, Smokey Bear has reminded generations of Americans that we all have a responsibility to help prevent wildfires.

The Jamul Fire Safe Council proudly celebrates this legendary symbol of wildfire prevention and thanks Smokey for 82 years of education, awareness, and service to our communities.
