Restore Taylor Point

Restore Taylor Point Our Vision is to restore the habitat at Taylor Point with native vegetation and to provide for safe and convenient public access to the shoreline.

Taylor Point Restoration Association (TPRA), a RI non-profit, was formed in 2015 to restore 20 acres of Town- owned shorefront in Jamestown. This area includes freshwater wetlands, beach, salt marsh, black cherry woodlands, shrub lands, cliffs, and thickets. Our primary goals are to eliminate invasive species; revegetate with native species; protect existing native species; improve degraded footpa

ths to provide safe public shoreline access; and maintain existing views of Narragansett Bay. The anticipated long-term outcome of Taylor Point restoration is the establishment of an ecologically robust coastal area and buffer zone of native species. Taylor Point will emerge, over the long term, as a valuable aesthetic and recreational resource, offering the public minimally intrusive access to a natural system with planned and appealing views of the Bay. We welcome all those who are interested to join our organization, participate in our volunteer work days, and/or donate to support the all-volunteer organization's activities.
