Congratulations to the Chautauqua Lake Partnership on securing a DEC Invasive Species Grant!

📢 Today, DEC announced over $5.1 million in grant awards to prevent and address the impacts of invasive species across New York State‼️

These awards will support 51 projects designed to reduce the impacts of through:
💧 aquatic invasive species spread prevention or boat decontamination
💪 invasive species early detection/rapid response and control
🔍 invasive species research, site restoration, and resiliency

Congratulations to the award recipients! The Invasive Species Grant Program is funded by New York State’s Environmental Protection Fund.

Congratulations to the Town of Chautauqua on securing two DEC Water Quality Improvement Project grant awards for culvert replacement.

Governor Hochul announced more than $265 million in grants to support projects that will help protect drinking water, improve climate resilience, update aging water infrastructure, reduce contributors to harmful algal blooms, and secure access to clean water.
