Dragonfly Moms did some styrofoam recycling! These moms separated out all the styrofoam from a furniture delivery and loaded their cars up and dropped it off at a super easy foam dumpster down the street! It feels so good to make sure this long-lasting waste is not going into a landfill.

Are you joking?! Look at this Water Watcher Extraordinaire! Saylor-Claire painted her own Dragonfly Club bucket and headed down to her riverbank and cleaned up a bunch of trash! This is some amazing work. All on her own! We are so impressed. Great job, Saylor-Claire! 💜🌎💜🌎💜

🚮Today I visited Cherry Grove beach and was able to do a few cartwheel-trash-grabs. 🤸 A new fun technique to pick up those awful plastic water bottle caps that people leave everywhere. There was a lot of tiny plastic trash like rubber bands, lures, and broken v**e parts. Believe it or not, trash from va**ng is something that I pick up on every clean up. YUCK! But overall, Cherry Grove looked pretty clean! 👏🏽
Another cool thing I saw was the Turtle Patrol getting ready to excavate a boiled nest from earlier this morning! They were counting the egg shells and checking for any remaining cuties in the nest. We sure wish we didn’t miss the hatch! 🐢

Hey Dragonflies! We need your help!
We are almost out of our first batch of Water Water Clean Up Kits. That means 187 kids are out in their communities cleaning up trash and watching out for their water-sources. Which is AWESOME.
But did you know that The Dragonfly Club spends about $14 per kit (shipped)?! That adds up. And we actually love supporting other non-profits and service-oriented organizations. So now we are asking for your help to buy more f***y packs, more compostable trash bags and gloves, and more shipping labels to continue our outreach.
All donations are tax-deductible. We will send our EIN if needed!

My friends came to visit yesterday when we were watering our flowers! Did you know that dragonflies are highly sensitive to toxins in water? If you spot a dragonfly near water, it means the water is a clean (or cleaner) water source. We can always do better…so keep up your Water-Watching!
