Why does REALTOR® advocacy matter?

NAR Chief Advocacy Officer Shannon McGahn sits down with Anthony Lamacchia, founder and CEO of Lamacchia Companies, on the latest episode of “Change Agents” to discuss how his experience helping homeowners during the 2008 foreclosure crisis shaped his view of advocacy and the impact it has on the real estate industry today.

It is one of the most well known sights in North Dakota.

Standing 162 feet above the Sheyenne River and stretching 3,860 feet long, the Hi-Line Railroad Bridge is one of the longest and highest single-track railroad bridges in the nation. You can find it coasting along the railroad tracks high in the sky in Valley City, North Dakota.

🎉 GREAT NEWS FOR HIGH PLAINS FAIR HOUSING CENTER! 🎉

After months of uncertainty, we are thrilled to announce that our HUD funding has finally been restored! This means we can welcome back our furloughed staff and get back to providing critical fair housing services at full capacity across North Dakota! 🏠💙

👏 A HUGE thank you to Senator Kevin Cramer, Senator John Hoeven, Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak, and the incredible staff in all three congressional offices!

Throughout this process, they stayed engaged, followed up with HUD, asked tough questions, and kept working to get this funding released. Their persistence and commitment made a difference, and we are grateful to the entire North Dakota congressional delegation for seeing this through.

The funding delay had real consequences. Our staff was reduced, services were interrupted, and North Dakotans continued to need assistance. We hope to work together to ensure this doesn't happen again.

❤️ Most of all, we are excited to welcome our team back and continue doing what we do best—helping North Dakotans access and maintain housing free from discrimination!

Thank you to everyone who supported High Plains during these challenging months!
