Audubon offers a wide variety of nature-based programs, indoor exhibits, a nature play area, live birds of prey, hiking trails, gardens, and more.

Trails are open daily and are free of charge. The Nature Center building and exhibits include a small fee. Connecting people to the planet through education at the Center and throughout the community.

🌿 "If the world was like the woods, it would be a peaceful world all the time." - James 💚

For James, a trip to the Nature Center is about much more than just a day out. It’s a journey to a place of comfort and belonging. Traveling 45 minutes from Dunkirk on the Chautauqua Area Regional Transit System - CHQ Transit, James comes to Audubon to find his sanctuary. Ever since childhood, he has turned to the quiet of the trees as a safe space away from difficult times, a place where he can finally be himself.

Today, James loves studying the forest, especially his absolute favorite sight: pine trees dusted with snow. ❄️🌲

We are so fortunate to have James as a regular part of our community. Nature has a wonderful way of welcoming everyone just as they are. 🌳✨

Muddy boots, crisp air, and memories made! 🌲🎒

Our October Camp was an absolute blast! Campers spent the day exploring the changing forest, crunching through colorful leaves, and discovering how our local wildlife is getting ready for the colder months ahead.

From autumn-based crafts to hands-on nature discoveries, there's nothing quite like a day of learning and play out on the trails. 🦊🍁
