HAPPY NATIONAL BOSS DAY!! We are so blessed with the most amazing TEAM at Bridgewell!! Although grainy, we figured we’d still share this video…some of the Bridgewell team surprised us in person today with flowers, and cards, and gift cards, and candy…but the absolute BEST part of it was that they got us a bouquet of balloons and had some of the kiddos present us with them and they all said amazing, encouraging things on construction paper stapled to the different balloon strings. This is something that we’ve done a Bridgewell during the kiddos Annual Meetings and to celebrate and honor some of volunteers but we could have never imagined this in return. THANK YOU for making the circle come around in full!! We love our TEAM and are so thankful to them and for them, because TOGETHER we’re Bridgewell….basically Bosses just needed to keep on everyone all the time stay in compliance with the state 😂😂😂…the joy of being a boss 🤢…and some other stuff…but ‘together is where it’s at’!! Thank you so much ladies!! You’re truly the best!!

We’re so excited to introduce you to LAURIE, Bridgewell’s FIRST EVER, JOB SPECIALIST!! Laurie has ‘come out of retirement’ to start up Bridgewell’s Job Coaching and Customized Employment Department!! We have recently had 5 Bridgewell employees graduate from Minot State University with Customized Employment/Job Coaching Certifications (keep your eye out for future social media posts highlighting their achievement) and they, along with several other Bridgewell employees will be working under Laurie’s direction in the Job Coaching/Customized Employment Department. We’re so excited to roll out this new department and are so thankful to Laurie for utilizing her years of experience and talent to develop this program.

Laurie, grew up on a farm in North Dakota with the best parents on the planet and is a certified Occupational Therapist. Upon graduating from college, she worked at the ND State Hospital, on the faculty at the ND State College of Science, worked at the Good Samaritan Hospital/Nursing Home, and worked at the Anne Carlson Center for 38 years. She has received several honors over the years, but the accomplishments she is proud of are her faith and her family. She has been married to her husband for 53 years, has one daughter, one son in law, and three precious grandchildren that light up her life.

Laurie’s life long dedication to improving the lives of the people in North Dakota is a shining testament to who she is as a person. She is intentional, thoughtful, kind, pays attention to detail, is business oriented and has an amazing heart. She is a true inspiration to all, and we are beyond blessed to have the privilege of having her on the Bridgewell team as she develops Bridgewell’s Job Coaching/Customized Employment Department. Thank you so much Laurie, it’s a true honor!! Cheers to an exciting future!!

THANK YOU to everyone in the community that came out to support the Bridgewell Leadership Club’s ‘Movie Snack Sale’ to raise money for a ‘Moment of Freedom’. A total of $48.00 was donated in 45 minutes!! Way to go Jamestown!! The teenager that headed up this fundraising effort for Leadership Club made the donation in person to ‘A Moment of Freedom’ during his last horseback riding session for the season (Halloween costume themed). A Moment of Freedom is doing some amazing things. Go check them out and support them!! It takes a community and we’re sure glad Jamestown is ours!! 🐴🧲🐎. Thank you everyone!!

We’re so excited to introduce you to MONTANA, Bridgewell’s FIRST EVER ‘TRAINING SPECIALIST’!! We have several ‘Trainers’ at Bridgewell, but this job title comes with a lot of responsibility and is so incredibly important to the culture at Bridgewell, in a different way because it’s more specialized, individualized and intentional. We care deeply about the people we support and the type of services that are provided to those people. Consistently across the board among our team, and a deep understanding and knowledge about the people we support is such an important part of being able to truly deliver quality support. The TRAINING SPECIALIST position is such an important role because in this role you need to get to know every single person we support, and then help every single Bridgewell team member also get to know the people we support with the same consistency and knowledge of how to best deliver services and supports (across all of our programs ranging from DSP services, to QSP Aging and Elderly services to Job Coaching Supports), with all of our team members both new hires and existing. Typically when you’re hired as a DSP/QSP at Bridgewell you go through several weeks of training, and then pair up with different existing team members to get to know the people we support. At Bridgewell, you will no longer be pairing up with different team members after you’re completed with your several week training session. Instead, you’ll get to know every person you’ll be supporting, with Montana. You find people in the most unexpected places, and today you’ll find Montana in the Space Ship she’s creating for an upcoming theme for a group we’re hosting at Bridgewell. Her creativity, hard work ethic, beautiful heart and knowledge and understanding of what works best for the people we support is the perfect mixture for this job title. Congratulations Montana!! We’re thrilled to have you onboard as the first ever Training Specialist at Bridgewell!! You’re going to be a rockstar!!
