We are excited to announce that our annual Thanksgiving Giveaway event will be held on Saturday, November 22nd starting at 2pm until the meals have been handed out!

1,700 complete, prepare at home Thanksgiving meals will be handed out at the following 12 locations throughout Southern Chautauqua County and Warren, PA:
Jamestown High School - 175 meals
Washington Middle School - 225 meals
Love Elementary - 275 meals
Persell Middle School - 175 meals
Fletcher Elementary - 200 meals
Bush Elementary - 150 meals
Falconer Middle/High School - 75 meals
TRZ- Frewsburg - 50 meals
Celeron Park - 75 meals
Ellery Park - 75 meals
Gerry Methodist Church - 100 meals
Warren First Church of the Nazarene (PA) - 125 meals

Each meal will consist of a frozen turkey with disposable pan, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, cranberry, beans, corns, rolls, and a pie.

Please come and join us at one of these locations, for a no-strings attached meal! This is a first come, first served event.

🌨️ COMMUNITY NOTICE: CODE BLUE & WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY 🌨️

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Jamestown, NY from 7 PM tonight through 1 PM Monday, November 10. We’re expecting 3–6 inches of snow, and travel may be hazardous . Please slow down and use caution on the roads. ❄️

As temperatures drop and winter settles in, we know that many in our community are facing housing insecurity. The YMCA wants to remind everyone that help is available.

When Code Blue is activated in Chautauqua County, warming centers open their doors to provide safe, warm shelter for anyone exposed to freezing temperatures.

🕐 When is Code Blue called?
When temperatures hit 32°F or below (including wind chill).

🏠 Where to Go:
• Recovery Options Made Easy (ROME) – 917 Washington Street, Jamestown
Open on qualifying nights from 5:30 PM–7:30 AM
• UCAN City Mission – 7 W. 1st Street, Jamestown
Open from 7:00 PM–8:15 AM

Catholic Charities (Jamestown, NY) location would like to request donations of gently used or new children's books. We are also accepting gently used or new children's toys, and Halloween costumes in good repair.

We're celebrating National Health Center Week August 3 - 9. As part of the fun we are bringing back our Community Picnics with backpack giveaways! The Dunkirk Community Picnic is Tuesday, August 5, at the Salvation Army on Central Avenue. The Jamestown event will be on Thursday, August 7, at our 107 Institute Street location. Both picnics are from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Backpacks will be given away to the first 300 kids accompanied by adults, and adults must have kids. There will be food, games, Marty's Bubblegum Machine, a bounce house, photo booth, face painting, community services information, and free produce from the Jamestown Mobile Market! Our Annual Back to School Giveaway is right around the corner and we are inviting 40 girls aged 11-18 to join us for a night of pampering (free haircuts) and shopping in The Closet for clothes, shoes, hygiene products and school supplies! No questions asked, all girls are invited.☀️💕
