Come show your support, learn more about the importance of the white cane, and help us raise awareness about the independence and mobility of individuals with visual impairments. We’ll begin with some kind words, a special proclamation, and an opportunity to try your hand at using a white cane. Then, we’ll take a short walk around the park together.

We were thrilled to receive a thoughtful gift from Andrew Holmquist this past week! Andrew has been a wonderful supporter of our organization over the past several years, and we’re so grateful for his continued generosity.

This large, beautifully handcrafted wooden sign now has a special place in our main office area, and we absolutely love it! ❤️

Sometimes, it’s the unexpected acts of kindness that mean the most. 💙

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Dan Trimbur from Sigel, PA, to our CBA office. While traveling through the area, Dan took the time to stop and donate 10 Hot Wheels Braille Racer cars to CBA.

The Braille Racer features Braille on both the packaging and the car itself, making these unique toys a wonderful way to promote inclusion and awareness.

We were excited to see these special cars, but even more touched that Dan thought of CBA during his travels and made the effort to stop and visit us.

Thank you, Dan, for your kindness, generosity, and for thinking of CBA! It was nice meeting you!

This year’s United Way campaign has begun! We are so proud year after year to be a United Way Community Partner. Their video this year highlights so many amazing programs in the community. The volunteer work that is done, the funding, and the support in the community continues to be so inspiring. Every dollar matters during this campaign, to so many people that YOU probably know. Please consider donating if you’re able, keeping CBA programs like Youth Vision Screening and Vision Rehabilitation in mind.

United Way of Chautauqua has officially kicked off their campaign! CBA is proud to be a community partner and can't wait to hear the stories and impact that they've been making in Chautauqua County. Please visit their page, be on the lookout for campaign updates, and learn about the wonderful programs in the community that United Way helps fund. United is the Way!

And we’re off! The 2026 Fundraising Campaign has officially begun, and yesterday our community showed up to help us kick it off. 💙🎉🤲

In case you missed it, yesterday our team boarded the Bemus Point-Stow Ferry, surrounded by the people who make this work possible — our Campaign Co-Chairs, volunteers, community members, and representatives from the local agencies supported through United Way.

There’s a lot to share from yesterday, and we’ll unpack some of those pictures and moments in the coming days. But this kickoff meant a lot. Check out the group pic!

This is what community support looks like.

It’s people who give. People who volunteer. People who open doors and make connections. People who work every day in local agencies and programs. And people who believe that when we come together, we can help make sure those programs have the resources they need to keep making an impact.

Our mission is simple: to mobilize the community to help every person and family improve their lives.

That takes all of us.

As this campaign unfolds, we’ll be sharing the stories, connections and impact behind the work happening throughout Chautauqua County. We hope you’ll follow along, learn a little more about the work happening here and find your own connection to it.

All of us at CBA are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of a former Board President and dedicated Board member, Robert Dahlin.

Bob was a passionate supporter of CBA Vision Rehabilitation Services and the individuals we serve. His leadership, kindness, and commitment to our mission will be remembered with great appreciation.

Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Julie, their children, and all who knew and loved him during this difficult time.

CBA would like to thank everyone who supported us this past Friday at our Sip and Support CBA fundraiser at Southern Tier Distillery. We had beautiful weather and a great turnout! Thanks to UPMC for sponsoring, as well as the numerous individuals who donated towards the cause. Our raffle winners were Mackenzie McWilliams and Roxanne Barton.
