A few of the squad pulled up — some in the new kit, some in the old kit… either way, that orange lets everyone know exactly who we ride for and what club we represent. 🧡

Some came for training, some just to have fun.

But at the end of the day, none of that matters —
the vibes were right, and the energy was there.
That’s what makes this crew special.

TSCC TOUR OF SOMERVILLE: THE OFFICIAL SQUAD RECAP 🏆🚨

Big fields. National stage. Unavoidable chaos. The Tri-State Cycling Club officially took on the historic 4-corner battlefield in downtown Somerville, NJ, for Memorial Day, and the team left absolutely everything out on the pavement.

Traveling out of state to line up against the East Coast’s deepest packs is how we grow as a unit. Across every single category, the squad fought for positioning, executed tactics, and showed that the TSCC family belongs on the big stage. 🚐💨

🍰 The After-Party & Next Generation
Our guy Roos was holding down the Masters 55+ field, competing alongside heavy Cat 1/2/3 veterans. At 60 years old, he is still training, still learning, and setting an incredible example for the club (even if we occasionally ask Sarah from SVC to translate what he's saying! 💀).

Roos kept the team fueled by feeding everyone chocolate cake post-race—and being the good guy he is, he made sure the team got a whole small pie for Davian for successfully avoiding last place... or did he?! 🍰👀

Best of all, the TSCC family continues to expand. We had extra support on the barriers from Santiago’s twins and Juan’s daughter. Mark our words—the next generation will be spinning their legs and wearing the jersey very soon!

Massive thank you to the host organizers, the support crew, and everyone who kept the environment unmatched. We came, we scrambled, we learned, and we conquered. Back to the training blocks

📈 The Cat 4/5 Clinic (The Leadout & Chase)
The future of the club is moving up fast, and the tactical ex*****on proved it:

⚡ Osiris was an absolute monster. After putting in an insane shift chasing down a dangerous breakaway with just 1 lap to go, he didn't just sit up. Despite having completely cooked legs from the chase, Osiris dug deep to deliver a textbook leadout for the squad.

⚡ Thanks to that selfless effort, Ayre stepped up his progression on a national stage, launching off the wheel to secure an incredible 17th place overall** out of 101 riders! Osiris still held on to cross the line in 25th (shoutout to whatever it is that Mr. Ugu did! 🤣). The lessons learned at Newport News paid off in a massive way.

🚦 The 4/5 Chaos & Crew Vibes
The rest of the field was pure entertainment and hustle. At the start line, the rider directly in front of Davian couldn't clip in—so in typical Davian fashion, he just sat back and decided to wait it out. 🛑😂

Our "little guy" Santiago did the classic Latino move, waiting until the absolute last possible second to register, forcing him to start the race from the very back of the grid. Ronny did what he does best—smiling from ear to ear, completely soaking in the holiday atmosphere. Johanser was keeping the energy high, maintaining an immaculate vibe before, during, and after the whistle.

Then there's the friendly rivalry. Juan made it very clear that even though Davian is his boy, his only real goal for the day was destruction. Juan absolutely took it to Davian on the road, though he unfortunately made a quick rookie mistake later on and had to put a little badge of honor (a bandage) on. 🤕🩹
