Today we learned about the amazing work being done at the National Equine Institute of Growth through Healing (NEIGH) for Veterans and first responders in our area. We had a great time at yesterday's Greater Jamestown AM Rotary Club Golf Scramble to benefit St Susan Center!
Thank you to sponsors and auction donors including Willow Run Golf Course, Smith Boys Marina, Runnings, Jamestown Tarp Skunks, Home Depot, Target, Jamestown True Value, Hometown Rent to Own-Jamestown, NY and all of the golfers!
Also, thanks to all of our club members, led by Scott Sawyer, who made this happen by organizing, donating, baking, handling registrations, volunteering on the course, inviting friends, and much more.
St Susan Center needs our community's support. This is a really fun event on a beautiful course, and we hope to see you next year!

Today Greater Jamestown AM Rotary Club members learned more about Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care from LPN Heather Flury and VP of Community Engagement Zach Agett. Heather and Zach were guests of club member and CHPC Executive Director Mike Testa.
Key takeaway: If you think that Hospice care might be or become a good option for yourself or a family member with a life-shortening condition, don’t wait to call them. People almost always say they wished they’d called sooner!

Greater Jamestown AM Rotary Club’s meeting room at the Northwest Arena overlooks Second Street and the National Comedy Center. Today’s guest speaker was National Comedy Center Chief Operating and Financial Officer Rochelle Mole, who shared many interesting facts about the Center, the Memory Cafe initiative, and this summer’s Lucille Ball Comedy Festival.

Greater Jamestown AM Rotary Club and Rotary Club of Jamestown Presidents Elect Lisa and Càitlìn about to be blown away by their full day of Rotary District 7090 - Southern Ontario & Western New York training at Niagara College today!
We learned a lot and came back better-prepared to lead our clubs in the coming year.

Greater Jamestown AM Rotary Club members are in the bleachers cheering for the completion of TheZone at the Northwest Arena!
Today’s guest speakers The Zone Director John Kinder and Program Coordinator Elizabeth Nicodemus-Creech gave us a tour and shared lots of fun details of what’s in store. Congratulations to The Zone and to our community for getting it to this point, and we can’t wait to experience it all when The Zone opens this summer!

The Rotary Club of Jamestown, led my Ruth Lundin, Captain, participated in this year’s Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) walk event benefitting the YWCA Jamestown's Empower Her Housing this past weekend.

This is a comprehensive housing initiative designed to meet women and families where they are. Through Legacy House and First House, women and children who are homeless or at risk of homelessness are provided safe, stable, and affordable transitional housing. Through service-enriched case management, participants are supported in identifying their capabilities, building essential life skills, and moving toward healthy, independent living.

Team Rotary had over 30 people supporting our walkers by donating over $1,250!

It was also great to see all three local Rotaries involved as well! Sarah Gilbert represented the Greater Jamestown AM Rotary Club and Jim Andrews captained the Falconer Rotary Club.

We are proud supporters of UCAN City Mission and the wonderful service they provide homeless individuals in our community. We recently granted the organization funds to replace a shower at their facility. Several dedicated members have also been serving a hot breakfast every few months. Pictured are Steve Columbare, Scott Sawyer, Greg Leonard, and Scott Johnson who make up our AM Rotary UCAN breakfast club.
