Today is World Day Against Child Labour.

For 25 years, BASICS International has worked alongside children, families, and communities in Ghana to help create pathways to opportunity through education, workforce development, entrepreneurship, and community impact.

We believe every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, dream, and reach their full potential—not spend their childhood working to survive.

By investing in educational sponsorships, digital literacy, mentorship, leadership development, and skills training, we are helping young people build brighter futures while addressing the conditions that often contribute to child labor.

Books, not bricks. Pencils, not packaging. Opportunities, not obstacles.

As we mark the World Day Against Child Labour, we reaffirm our commitment to empowering the next generation with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to thrive.
