It's and we’re celebrating the strength, resilience, and hope of the people we serve across the country.
Our neighbors remind us every day why Depaul USA exists: to end homelessness and change lives with dignity, compassion, and opportunity.
You can be part of that change, and ensure that more people have a safe place to sleep, a community to rely on, and a chance to rebuild their lives.
Make a gift. Make an impact.

This past Tuesday, Aug. 13, Depaul USA—New York City hosted the ribbon-cutting ceremony of its third Dax residence, Rosary Hall. Rosary Hall will serve an additional eight college students facing homelessness or housing insecurity.

It was a beautiful, summer day in Riverdale. The ceremony was held outside on the Hall's terrace, overlooking the University of Mount Saint Vincent's infamous Doheny Mansion. In attedance were guests from the Mount, Sisters of Charity, St. John's University, and Depaul USA staff and board members. Various speakers, including the Mount's President, Dr. Burns, touched on the importance of New York City's Dax Program and its expansion. Following the speakers' moving notes, Rosary Hall's ribbon was cut and guests were invited inside for a tour of the space.

A tremendous thank you to the Sisters of Charity for paving the way for Rosary Hall to come to fruition, the space, and for supporting Depaul USA—New York City through it all. "I come from a very large family of immigrants and being away from them was one of the hardest things I had to do, but sometimes life happens…I want to go into Migrant Medicine. Travel the world and treat the misfortunate who don’t have access to healthcare. I dream big, I know, but everyone has a purpose and I think that one’s mine." - Dalny House resident

On Wednesday, Dec.13, Depaul USA - New York City celebrated the opening and blessing of Dalny House—the newest addition to New York City's Dax Program. This project would not have been possible without the generosity of the Sisters of St. Joseph for allowing Depaul USA to use the 1920 home for six St. John's University students experiencing homelessness.

The opening had numerous speakers including two residents of Dalny House who shared their testimonials with the group. Other notable mentions were Sr. Karen Burke from Sisters of St. Joseph, Fr. Rock from St. John's University, Mel Reyes, Depaul USA New York City Director, and Chuck Levesque, Depaul USA President and Executive Director.

Thank you to everyone and their support throughout this process. Depaul USA - New York City is excited to see what the future has in store for Dalny House.
