This past Tuesday, Aug. 13, Depaul USA—New York City hosted the ribbon-cutting ceremony of its third Dax residence, Rosary Hall. Rosary Hall will serve an additional eight college students facing homelessness or housing insecurity.
It was a beautiful, summer day in Riverdale. The ceremony was held outside on the Hall's terrace, overlooking the University of Mount Saint Vincent's infamous Doheny Mansion. In attedance were guests from the Mount, Sisters of Charity, St. John's University, and Depaul USA staff and board members. Various speakers, including the Mount's President, Dr. Burns, touched on the importance of New York City's Dax Program and its expansion. Following the speakers' moving notes, Rosary Hall's ribbon was cut and guests were invited inside for a tour of the space.
A tremendous thank you to the Sisters of Charity for paving the way for Rosary Hall to come to fruition, the space, and for supporting Depaul USA—New York City through it all.
