An amazing afternoon celebrating Women’s Black History Month with the NCNW Queens County Youth Group! 💜

Our young ladies presented on trailblazing leaders including Mary McLeod Bethune, Shirley Chisholm, Michelle Obama, and Pauli Murray, and we enjoyed a powerful demonstration from the Vanguard of Muhammad Mosque No. 7.

A beautiful day of learning, leadership, and celebrating the legacy of Black women. ✨

Our youth will be giving away banned and challenged books as part of their social justice project—promoting access, equity, and the power of knowledge On Monday, January 19th at the AKA MLK Day of Service at the Robert Ross Johnson Family Live Center.

Excited to join Empower My Hood and community partners — including Council Speaker Adrienne Adams, Council Member Dr. Nantasha Williams, DYCD, Greater Jamaica Development Corp., Citizens Committee for NYC, ENPAK, Bell Curves and more, for the 4th Annual Southeast Queens College Fair on Saturday, October 4th at Majority Family Life Center!

This fair gives our young people access to colleges, scholarships, career guidance, and financial aid resources they need to thrive.

Let’s spread the word — tag a student, parent, or neighbor who should be there! Together, we’re opening doors for the next generation.
