We believe that education creates the next generation of leaders, teachers, professionals, workers, and citizens. Only by laying this groundwork can we assure our communities’ dreams and futures. We make our mission possible through the organizing and leadership of peoples of the African Diaspora and allies that support our mission and leadership on the following:
• Claiming our right: Quality pub

lic education as a human and civil right;
• Building Power: Programs and services designed to educate, organize, mobilize, and support black and brown peoples to advocate for them selves their children and their communities;
• Using Power: Advocating and leading in the halls of governments, the courts, schools and school boards for the quality education of our children.
