Electric Earth Concerts Presents:
Virtuoso Guitarist Hernan Romero
Monday, August 21 At 7pm Temple Congregational Church In Temple, New Hampshire.

Hernan Romero is a guitarist and composer with flamenco and Latin jazz roots whose music-making is full of surprises. His virtuosity, both as a guitarist and composer, offers listeners a vibrant and exhilarating sound. Romero performs this solo concert in the glowing, air-conditioned acoustic of the Temple Congregational Church.

"Romero’s musical style is not easy to define: It has ethnic elements of flamenco, Middle Eastern, Latin, and Mediterranean mixed together with jazz, contemporary, and classical music. It cannot be placed into a specific genre. It is passionate--and moving-- and takes the listener on a beautiful and unpredictable journey. To watch him play the guitar is just magical—the way he combines all these flavors and feelings so effortlessly is what makes his music so tasty and unique." –Tina Trevino (Latin Biz)

Electric Earth Concerts Presents:
“Coffee und Kuchen”
Wednesday, August 16 At 3 pm
First Church in Jaffrey, New Hampshire.

Ieva Jokubaviciute and David McCarroll (piano & violin) sweeten the afternoon at the traditional German “cake and coffee” hour with Brahms’ exquisite G-major Violin Sonata. Cake and coffee included!

The traditional German 'Kaffee und Kuchen" is a social ritual where friends and family gather to enjoy coffee, cake, and conversation, happening any time between two and five o'clock. EEC is adding wonderful music to this tasty tradition.
David McCarroll has been appointed concertmaster of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, holding the Rachel Mellon Walton Concertmaster Chair, beginning with the 2022-2023 season. He has been described as “a violinist of mature musicality and deep understanding of his repertoire, whose playing is distinguished by clarity of form and line.” --Musik Heute (Music Today)

Lithuanian pianist Ieva Jokubaviciute’s powerfully and intricately crafted performances have earned her critical acclaim throughout North America and Europe. Her ability to communicate the essential substance of a work has led critics to describe her as possessing “razor-sharp intelligence and wit” and “subtle, complex, almost impossibly detailed and riveting in every way” (The Washington Post) and as “an artist of commanding technique, refined temperament and persuasive insight.’” (The New York Times).

This concert is generously sponsored by The Nicholas sisters and their mother in honor of Frieda Roessler Nicholas who immigrated from Germany in 1911.

General admission is $30, payable online or at the door, via cash or check. Students may attend for free. Weather permitting, you can choose to sit outside and listen for free via our excellent sound system.
