📣 🌍 Huge Opportunity for Junior Skaters!
Are your skaters ready to take their derby game to the next level? Registration is officially OPEN for the 2027 JRDA World Cup US Team Tryouts, and we want to encourage anyone interested to go for it!
This is an incredible opportunity for our kids to experience the broader roller derby world, skate with top-tier talent from across the nation, and potentially represent the USA in Scotland in July 2027! 🛫🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Here is what you need to know:
📅 Tryout locations and dates:
Chicago/Palatine, IL – July 13 (Deadline June 28)
Fort Walton Beach, FL – August 1 (Deadline July 18)
Denver, CO – August 15 (Deadline August 1)
Seattle, WA – August 29 (Deadline August 15)
Corona, CA – September 12 (Deadline August 29)
Columbia, SC – September 26 (Deadline September 12)
Philadelphia, PA – October 10 (Deadline September 26)

💰 Cost & Early Bird Deal:
Sign up by June 28th to get the Early Bird price of $65! After that, registration is $85. Keep in mind that registration strictly closes exactly two weeks before each tryout date.
🧒 Age Info:
Don't count your younger skaters out! While this is for the World Cup team, skaters under the age of 14 CAN try out. They just need an age waiver filled out by a parent/guardian and signed off by a coach.
Whether they make the training squad or just go for the incredible experience and growth that comes with an elite tryout, we highly encourage our skaters to test their skills!

The 2027 JRDA World Cup will be held July 22-25, 2027 in Glasgow, Scotland. It features two divisions of play, Open Division and Girls Division. Your passion for roller derby shines through every time you step on the track. We love seeing you continue to sharpen your skills, challenge yourself, and bring that knowledge and experience back to our skaters. Having coaches who are actively learning, growing, and competing helps make our program stronger, and our athletes benefit from it every day.

First Coast joined forces with friends from Mad Mayhem Jr. Roller Derby and Savannah Jr. Roller Derby to bring a bout to Junior Roller Derby today, ensuring they meet their requirements for regionals. Not only was there some incredible skating, but players showed an exceptional level of good sportsmanship in their willingness to help another team. Spirits were high and they gave it their all down to the very last second, proud of every single one of you! 🩵💜

P.S. Huge thanks to Pixie and Hot Toddy from Savannah for coaching and Sherlock Bones for being on the bench with us, you and your players helped make this possible!
