YCP Jacksonville Jacksonville chapter of Young Catholic Professionals (YCP), a national organization of young adults who promote "Working in Witness for Christ."

YCP Jacksonville consists of young adults in their 20s and 30s who seek to grow both professionally and spiritually as they "Work in Witness for Christ". We are actively seeking dedicated volunteer leaders, potential board members, parish representatives and other volunteers to support our local chapter. Join YCP Jacksonville for an engaging Executive Panel Discussion exploring the opportunities, challenges, and ethical questions surrounding AI through the lens of Catholic social teaching. 💡📈

🤝 We are also excited to welcome the St. John Paul II Career Ministry, a parishioner-led mentoring ministry offering professional and spiritual support to job seekers at every stage. 📝💬 Members of the Career Ministry will be present throughout the evening to connect, network, and share guidance!

🌊☀️ Service Day + Beach Day with YCP Jacksonville! ✝️🤝🏖️

Join Young Catholic Professionals Jacksonville for a full day of prayer, service, fellowship, and fun! 🙌

We’ll begin the day centered on Christ with Mass at St. Anastasia Catholic Church in St. Augustine celebrated by Fr. Jared, followed by breakfast, Adoration, and a talk on the Sacred Heart of Jesus ❤️‍🔥

Then we’ll put our faith into action by serving our neighbors through:
🛍️ Assembling care bags for those experiencing homelessness
✉️ Writing letters to the imprisoned

After serving together, we’ll head to Butler Beach Pavilion (Frank Butler Park East) for a relaxing beach afternoon! 🌊☀️

Schedule at a Glance
⛪ 9:00 AM — Mass
☕ ~9:30 AM — Breakfast & Coffee
🙏 ~10:00 AM — Adoration & Talk
🤝 ~11:00 AM — Service Activities
🏖️ 1:00–5:00 PM — Beach Day

The Solemnity of Mary, Holy Mother of God is a liturgical celebration observed on January 1st which falls exactly one week after Christmas, the end of the octave of Christmas.

The Blessed Virgin Mary is honored as the Mother of God because she conceived and gave birth to Christ, who is the incarnation of God the Son, the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity. It is fitting to honor Mary as Mother of Jesus, following the birth of Christ. When Catholics celebrate the Solemnity of Mary Mother of God, we are not only honoring Mary, who was chosen among all women throughout history to bear God incarnate, but we are also honoring our Lord, who is fully God and fully human.

Happy New Year from YCP Jacksonville! As we welcome 2026, we’re grateful for everyone who has been part of our community this past year. Thank you for praying with us, learning with us, and supporting one another in faith and work.
