Carver-Lincoln Association for Youth is a tax-exempt non-profit organization that provides the community with complete programs for all ages. The Carver-Lincoln Association for Youth offers participants from kindergarten to high school and adults, a positive learning experience along with the opportunity to create life-long memories. All programs offered by Carver-Lincoln Association for Youth wil
l be at no cost to participants of all ages (free). We offer year round programs that provide positive events in a character building atmosphere. The Service will be the premier provider of mentoring experiences, and seek to make this experience available for at-risk youth though our elderly. This will be done through a series of alternative programs, and trained volunteers to help participants meet their educational needs. Ongoing efforts will be in place to continue to improve the quality and integrity of the program building a positive perception within the Duval County area. Carver-Lincoln Association for Youth direction has been, “To inspire today’s youth physically, spiritually, and morally by providing a comprehensive youth athletic program.” Over a nine year period from 1997 -2005 Carver Lincoln has coached and mentored over 1500 children with ages ranging from 4 – 18 years of age and has offered them an alternative outlet to learn interpersonal skills such as sportsmanship, team spirit, patience and to build confidence. Today, Carver-Lincoln’s focus has shift to include youths and adults that are entering the workforce. The program is Professional Development Training. The goals of the program include contributing to the economic development of the underprivileged by providing the training resources necessary to enhance the skill set of the low and very low-income clients in the workforce. Also, Carver-Lincoln wants to provide coordination and cooperation with local businesses, industries, labor education and government agencies to increase self-improvement & job opportunities for students and citizens. Our mission statement is: “offering educational opportunity to high school students and young adults by providing quality training and certification support for entry level Professional training to meet individual and labor market needs” .
