Today, the Kiwanis Club of Deercreek was proud to join fellow Kiwanis members from across the district for a District-Wide Service Project with Meals of Hope.
Led by Will Hanzel, today’s effort brought members together to pack a total of 13,000 meals that will benefit local charities across Northeast Florida.
Our chapter was proud to fundraise for five boxes of meals, which will be delivered to the Mandarin Food Bank to help support families in our local community.
We also had the opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of fellow Kiwanis members. Will honored the Beaches Club for receiving the Distinguished Club Award, recognizing their commitment to serving their community and making an impact through Kiwanis.
A special thank you to our special guest, Linda Skaathun, Florida Kiwanis Governor for 2026-2027, for joining us today!
And a HUGE thank you to the Jacksonville Fair for hosting our event and providing a space for Kiwanis members from across the district to come together for such an important day of service. We truly appreciate your support of our efforts to give back to Northeast Florida.
Thank you to our Kiwanis members who came out and put in the work today: Will, Paula, Louise, Pete, Tim, Joe and Alysia. We missed you, Lola!
We were also grateful to have members of our extended families and close friends join us and be part of the effort. It was wonderful to see so many people come together for a morning of service, fellowship and community.
Thank you also to area Key Clubs and Circle K groups for joining us and participating.
13,000 meals packed. Five boxes funded by Kiwanis of Deercreek. Countless people who will benefit from the work of Kiwanis clubs across Northeast Florida.
This is what Kiwanis is all about: serving together and making a difference in our communities.
