We need your help.
Are criminal element is vandalizing our Church Vans and buses. They are cutting off the catalytic converters to sell as scrap metal. So far they are on the South Side and Richlands area. But they could move to another area very easy. So lets all get the word to your Churches to be on the lookout and check their vehicles. Have all your Residents to keep reporting suspicious people in your neck of the woods. Please have them call dispatch 910-989-5080 or 5081 right away . Have vehicles not driven often may want to check them. With your help we can get them off the street quick. They should having 3 hots and a cot at Sheriff Millers 5 Floor Jail soon.
Just for your info: This past weekend Patrol took a call for someone getting into a vehicle in a neighborhood. Quick to find out it just happened . Patrol saturated the neighborhood and caught the thief with what was taken. Property was returned to the owner. Great job by our Patrol Deputies. That’s how it should work most of the time. Call it in quick. Give good information. And leave your phone number so the Patrol Deputies can call you back if the need more info. Or are having trouble finding the suspicious person. ( just so you know, any Deputy on a shift wants to catch the criminal and lock them up. They don’t want to turn it over to someone else )
