DASOTA PTSA is co-hosting a community information night with Stanton and Wolfson PTSAs. This is a nonpartisan informational event. Dr. Tracy Pierce, Chief Engagement Officer for Duval County Public Schools, will walk through what’s on the November 3 ballot, then take your questions in an open Q&A.

The vote is on whether to continue the 1-mill tax that voters approved in 2022, from July 2027 through June 2031. It funds teacher pay, school security and support staff, academic programs, arts, and athletics.

School Immunization Rule: Comments Due Oct. 19

The Florida Department of Health has proposed dropping four vaccines from school attendance requirements: Hib, Hepatitis B, chickenpox, and pneumococcal. Florida PTA opposes the change. To comment, email [email protected], and put “Rule 64D-3.046” in the subject line. Read the proposed rule here:
