Meet Indy, a 6 month old Lab mix with a sweet personality and a playful side that’s starting to shine. While she can be a little timid when meeting new people, she’s already warming up quickly to her foster mom and gaining confidence every day.

This goofy girl absolutely loves balls and can often be found proudly carrying one around wherever she goes. Indy is doing great in her kennel with very few accidents and is learning what it means to be a beloved family member. With a little patience and lots of love, she’s sure to blossom into an amazing companion. Could Indy be the missing piece of your family? 🐾❤️

You don’t need a huge house. You don’t need a fenced backyard. You don’t need a PhD in dogs. It’s okay if you have a full time job. You just need a little compassion.

We’re looking for both long term fosters and short term backup fosters!

Long term fosters care for a dog until adoption.

Short term fosters step in for weekends, holidays, or vacations when one of our regular fosters has to travel.

WE provide the veterinary care, food, ALL supplies, support, and guidance. YOU provide a safe place to land.

Our rescue dogs aren’t looking for perfect. They’re grateful for a warm bed, a full belly, and someone willing to give them a chance. Could that someone be you? 🩷

Freddy is a black pittie mix. Why does that matter?

Studies and shelter data have long pointed to Black Dog Syndrome, the idea that black coated dogs are often overlooked in favor of lighter colored dogs. Whether it is because they are harder to photograph, unfairly perceived as intimidating, or simply blend into the background in kennel settings, black dogs are frequently passed by despite having wonderful personalities.

Freddy deserves better than that.

Yes, he has a prey drive. Like many dogs, that means he should not live with cats, rabbits, chickens, or other small animals. But that is truly his only catch.

He adores kids. He gets along with dogs of all sizes. He is a polite houseguest who also knows when it is time to let loose and have some fun. He’s a fantastic bonfire/party guest (he WILL try to steal your beer).

Want to couch/bed rot and doom scroll? Freddy will happily curl up beside you. Feel like taking a spontaneous road trip or hitting the trails? He will be waiting at the door, ready to go.

He is not asking for perfection. He is just asking for someone to look past his black coat and see the incredible dog underneath.
