WE HAVE SPOTS TO FILL, AND WE NEED YOU!

Mother Nature may have thrown us a curveball, but she isn't stopping the Queens! Due to the postponement, our Paws & Pumpkins Fall Fling has officially moved to Saturday, October 24th!

Unfortunately, some of our original vendors are unable to join us on our new date, which means we've got openings for some AMAZING local businesses!

We’re teaming up with Nicole’s Pet First Aid & CPR and Back Swamp Volunteer Fire Department for a Pet CPR Class! 🐾

We’ll cover vital checks, chest compressions, rescue breathing, choking management and more. Basically, the stuff you hope you never have to use, but REALLY want to know if you ever need it.

The longest wait doesn’t mean the hardest dog 🥹

One of the biggest misconceptions about rescue is that if a dog has been waiting months for a home, there must be a reason nobody wants them. Maybe they’re aggressive. Maybe they have behavioral issues. Maybe they’re just too much to handle.

But the truth is, sometimes there’s absolutely nothing wrong with the dog! Sometimes they’re overlooked because of their breed, their size, or the color of their fur. Sometimes they’re shy at adoption events and don’t know how to show strangers just how wonderful they really are. Sometimes they’re competing for attention with puppies, smaller dogs, or dogs who photograph a little better.

And sometimes, they just haven’t been seen by the right person yet.

The length of time a dog spends in rescue is NOT a reflection of their worth, temperament, or ability to be an incredible companion! Some of the sweetest, most affectionate, well behaved dogs spend months waiting while others find homes within days.

They aren’t necessarily harder to love or care for and they certainly aren’t less deserving. They’re just waiting for someone to finally give them a chance.

So the next time you see a dog who’s been available for months, don’t automatically wonder what’s wrong with them. Maybe ask yourself why nobody has realized what’s RIGHT with them yet 🩷

Featuring Nirvana! Not only is he a black pittie, this sweet boy was once feral but has since come to love the cushy home life. Because he was introduced to humans much later in life, he won’t be the dog who licks you through the kennel bars at adoption events and wags his tail. Why? Because he’s still scared! He has come SO far but he needs someone to see him and realize he’s not going to “choose you” instantly. It’s going to take some time but once he loves you, he loves HARD! He’ll become your little shadow and best friend 🥹

🚨🐾 PUPPY FOOD NEEDED! THESE LITTLE S**TS ARE EATING US OUT OF HOUSE AND HOME! 🐾🚨

Y’all, we have officially reached the point where we’re convinced these puppies have hollow legs and absolutely NO concept of portion control. 🤣🐶

With the number of puppies we currently have in the care, we are going through puppy food like it's our damn job!

And while we absolutely LOVE saving these adorable little heathens, keeping all these tiny bellies full is getting expensive as hell! 💗

Some of these babies came to us underweight, covered in fleas, full of parasites, and in absolutely heartbreaking conditions. They've already been through enough in their short little lives, and we're determined to make sure they never have to wonder where their next meal is coming from again.

But HOLY S**T, can these puppies EAT! 🤣

🐾 WE NEED OUR COMMUNITY TO HELP US STOCK UP ON PUPPY FOOD!🐾

We are desperately needing:

🐶 Dry puppy food (NO grain-free, please!)

🐶xxl(30x36in) potty pads

Every single bag helps! Whether it's one or ten, we promise these little four-legged garbage disposals will put it to good use. 🤣

And here's the thing...

Every dollar we don't have to spend buying puppy food is another dollar we can put toward veterinary care, vaccinations, spays, neuters, and pulling another innocent dog off a shelter's euthanasia list.

Because saving lives doesn't stop once we get them out of the shelter. That's when the real work begins.

We have mouths to feed, medical bills to pay, and a whole lot of tiny little as****es who seem to think our rescue has an unlimited buffet. 🤣🐾

But we wouldn't trade a single one of them for anything. 💗

We can't keep saving lives without the support of our community.
