Sunshine State 250 Showdown event results are due by midnight tonight, Friday, July 17.

Even if your Post previously registered or completed the interest form, you still need to submit the final results form to be considered for the Post upgrade prizes and recognition in Louisville.

We want to see the full story of what your Post accomplished:

🇺🇸 Attendance and activities
🤝 New members and community partnerships
🙋 Veteran volunteers and volunteer hours
📺 Media and social media coverage
⭐ Anything else that shows your Post’s impact

Today’s deadline gives our team the time needed to review each submission, complete the assessment process, notify selected Posts, and coordinate the recognition in Louisville.

The Sunshine State 250 Showdown events have happened, and now we need your help capturing the full story of what Florida’s Posts accomplished.

Your final event results submission is required for your Post to be considered for the Post upgrade prizes and recognition at National Convention in Louisville - even if you already registered or completed the original interest form.

The American Legion, Department of Florida Posts - thank you for being part of the Sunshine State 250 Showdown!!

Now that the Fourth of July has passed, we want to congratulate every Post that stepped up and made America 250 real in its own community - whether you hosted a cookout, marched in a parade, held a ceremony, recruited members, welcomed families, partnered with local organizations, or simply opened your doors and brought people together.

Now comes the final step.

To be considered for Sunshine State 250 Showdown prizes and recognition at National Convention in Louisville, participating Posts need to submit their event recap, photos, and impact details through the official 1 Nation form:

Your submission does not need to be perfect or overly formal. We just want the story of what your Post did, who you reached, and why it mattered.

Please include photos, attendance estimates, volunteer participation, membership recruitment, community partners, media coverage, social posts, and any special moments worth sharing.
