🚧🏗️ Construction Friday Update! 🏗️🚧

This week, crews continued making incredible progress as more concrete was poured around our two indoor pools. Every step brings us closer to creating a space where families can learn to swim, improve their health, build confidence, and make lifelong memories together.

The future aquatic center will provide opportunities for swim lessons, water safety education, lap swimming, family recreation, and so much more for our community.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support our Capital Campaign and follow along on this exciting journey. We can't wait to welcome you through the doors of your new YMCA in Early 2027!

🚀✈️ Field Trip Friday: Travelers Take Flight! ✈️🚀

This week, our Clyde Erwin Day Camp campers blasted off on an exciting adventure to Albert J. Ellis Airport. As part of our Lost in Space: Physical Barriers – Galactic Travelers theme, campers explored how people overcome distance and travel to new destinations through the power of flight.

During their tour, campers learned about airport operations, aircraft, aviation careers, and the teamwork it takes to safely transport travelers around the world. Just like astronauts journey through space, our Galactic Travelers discovered how planes help connect people, communities, and opportunities across great distances.

A huge thank you to the OAJ Airport team for inspiring our campers to dream big, explore new horizons, and see that no destination is out of reach! 🌎✨

One community making a difference.

Last week at Agape Life Family Church in Richlands, the New River YMCA distributed enough food to provide 343 children with seven days' worth of breakfast and lunch and we are doing it again today! Agape Life Family Church beginning at 2:00PM.

This is more than food. It is peace of mind for parents, support for children, and a reminder of what can happen when a community comes together to care for one another.

Thank you to our incredible staff, volunteers, community partners, and Agape Life Church for helping make this possible. Every meal distributed represents our commitment to ensuring that no child goes hungry and that every family has access to the resources they need to thrive.

Together, we are strengthening our community one child, one family, and one act of service at a time.

Free 7 day meal pick up through New River YMCA

Pre-registration is suggested to save time at pick up. Boxes are first come, first served, and registration does not guarantee a box.
