Today, September 25, we celebrate the feast day of Blessed Herman of Reichenau.

Born in 1013 with significant physical disabilities, Herman was placed in the care of a Benedictine monastery as a young child. Despite his physical limitations and later blindness, he became known as “The Wonder of His Age.” He was a brilliant mathematician, astronomer, historian, and composer, and is credited with composing beloved Marian hymns, including Salve Regina and Alma Redemptoris Mater.

His life is a beautiful reminder that a disability is only one part of a person—it does not define their worth, their gifts, or their purpose.

Inclusion means looking beyond a diagnosis, seeing the person first, and creating opportunities for everyone to belong, participate, and share what they were created to give.

See the person. See the possibility. See the purpose.

Meet Velinda & Valentin

Velinda attends a Catholic school in Dallas. To her, Valentin is simply her brother. She doesn’t see a diagnosis—she sees Valentin. ❤️

Like so many siblings, they want to go to school together—to belong, be included, and have the same opportunities.

Many other families are waiting for that same opportunity.

Let’s make it happen! 🙏

Through in-kind donations, we can help Catholic schools in Dallas gain the resources and training they need to welcome and support every child.

Because we are all children of GOD. ❤️
