The following is a list of Accomplishments and Projects the WJCA has been involved with since being established. It is not meant to be a complete list:
* Opposed the high speed rail from central Florida that was purposed to come right down Blair Rd.
* Opposed the building of a prison at Cecil Field.
* Supported the widening to three lanes of Crystal Springs Road.
* Supported Councilman Hogan
in getting Crystal Springs Park built and later cleaned up of contaminated land.
* Supported Councilman Hogan in building our Meeting Hall.
* Directly involved in saving the City hundreds of thousands of dollars in the purchasing of the land the Westside Regional Library is built upon * Provided input and supported the building of Fire Station 32 on Lenox Ave.
* Initiated call-in and mail-in program to Cracker Barrel Headquarters to have them build at Chaffee Rd and I-10 location in 2004 and opened in Oct 2005.
* Supported Councilman Davis in building the kiddie park in honor of our veterans, fire and police officers.
* Sponsor Adapt-A-Road where we pick up trash once a month on Crystal Springs Road.
* Donated Flag Pole to park and maintain it.
* Petitioned the city to add lights to our Tennis courts.
* Successfully opposed the building of a Shopping Center at the corner of Hammond and Crystal Springs Road across from the elementary school.
* Successfully opposed the "Hamlet" from being a 1000 plus first time home buyer community to being an upscale neighborhood with larger homes and yards.
* Successfully opposed Mercedes Homes from building Condominiums on Crystal Springs Park. * Successfully petitioned JEA to install underground power lines to residence of Joes Road at no expense to home owners as a concession for installing High Power wires down Joes Rd.
* Involved in Christmas programs that support our U.S. Troops overseas and local charities.
* Have several members that serve on CPAC Board.
* Have former member who represents Jacksonville in Tallahassee.
