⛳ A day on the course with an impact that goes far beyond golf!

ONU CEO & Co-Founder Michele McManamon and Program Specialist Tracey Bradley were in Medina, Ohio yesterday for The Ruby Group’s 2026 Charity Golf Outing, representing Operation New Uniform alongside an incredible group of supporters who came together to give back to our mission.

We’re incredibly grateful to Mike Jones and the entire Sandler team for putting together this event to benefit ONU and the transitioning servicemembers, veterans, and military spouses we serve. Their continued support helps make it possible for our students to build the skills they need to take the next step in their civilian careers.

Our team was honored to attend the 2026 Boots on the Ground Beneficiary Check Presentation over the weekend! 🇺🇸

Yesterday, ONU Program Specialist Tracey Bradley proudly joined the Jacksonville business and technology community at the JAX Chamber IT Council’s Tech Coast Conference!

Tracey attended the CIO panel, connected with Jax Chamber members, and caught up with ONU alumni as they spoke with employers and built new professional relationships. Seeing our alumni confidently engage with local organizations was a great reminder that the connections made through Operation New Uniform continue well beyond graduation.

We're thrilled to have events like the Tech Coast Conference that help us stay connected with the people and industries shaping Jacksonville’s workforce as we create meaningful career opportunities for servicemembers, veterans, and military spouses.

Operation New Uniform's team recently visited Rethreaded, a local nonprofit in Jacksonville that supports survivors of human trafficking. CEO Kristin Keen gave us a tour of their facility and gift shop, and we learned how they're helping survivors through employment, career development, mental health counseling, and trauma-informed care as they rebuild their lives.

We also discussed ways to introduce Rethreaded’s mission and products to more Veterans and Military Families, connecting their powerful work with a community that understands the importance of purpose, opportunity, and a path forward. 🎖️🤝

For Class 73 graduate Justin Hanes, his experience with Operation New Uniform was something he knew he wanted to share with his wife, Lori Trifaro. Now, Lori is a proud Class 78 graduate too! 👏

As a Marine Corps veteran, Lori found the guidance and practical tools she felt were missing from traditional military transition training. She also gained new friends and a community she now considers family. ❤️

Their career transition journeys may be their own, but Justin and Lori have been able to experience the support, encouragement, and lasting impact of ONU together. Watch as they share what the program has meant to them as veterans, graduates, and husband and wife.

Yesterday, Operation New Uniform welcomed Congressman John Rutherford and August Perry for a tour and conversation about our work supporting veterans and military spouses. 🤝

We talked about ONU’s growth, our work with employers, and how we can continue creating meaningful career opportunities for veterans and military spouses across Northeast Florida and beyond. The most meaningful part of the visit was hearing from ONU alumni Ryan Donlon, Cassie Redner, and LaToya Denise Neri, who shared their own career transition experiences and the impact ONU has had along the way.

Discussions like this help keep the experiences of veterans and military spouses at the center of workforce development efforts in our community, and we're proud to work alongside our U.S. Representatives to keep expanding our impact. 🌟
