We want to get together, and frankly, have a great time. It's an overnight camping event (so bring your own tent) set in Florida in June . We'll have chemical toilets and a few VERY basic amenities, but for the most part...we want to keep a very primitive-camping, primal , tribal feel to the whole event. There are going to be several people available on a set schedule for learning the basics of fi
re safety (required if you want to take part in the Free Burn) , along with instructors to teach the basics in several types of fire-performance, including fire-eating, poi, staff, and a host of other methods. There'll also be a few random games and contests designed to help people "get into the spirit" of things...with a few nifty prizes for the winners, of course! We encourage participants to bring their own creativity with them, whether that be costuming, or their own fire/flow performance abilities, or even their own art or other personal creations. In addition to being a fun, creative camping event, however, we also hope to achieve a little more with Ragnarok : Festival of Flames. It's easy to feel a sense of disconnection in the modern world, of being stuck in schedules, working to get by, and too busy to really be who we are. With Ragnarok : Festival of Flames we want to create a moment of time outside the modern world where people can get together, make connections, learn, and grow on a personal and spiritual level. Where instead of sitting around staring down at cellphones or laptops or computer monitors, they can fully express themselves in the living, breathing, natural world. Ragnarok : Festival of Flames is a once a year gathering of fire performers, flow artists, pagans, and more held in a secure location outside of Lake City, Florida. The first gathering will be on Saturday, June 21st . Price of tickets will be $25.00 and will include a commemorative shirt and other items of value.
