Great things happened at our meeting today! Carter Elmore, Rotary Scholarship recipient and the 2026 Jacksonville High School Valedictorian, received a very nice plaque. We also had the pleasure of hearing from Coach Reggie Swinton! We are excited to see your book hit the shelves ans see what are Titans are made of during this upcoming season! Thank you to both Coach Reggie and Coach Hicks for being a positive influence on the youth of Jacksonville. Go Titans!

Today, some of our Rotarians along with volunteers from Entergy assisted an elderly citizen of Jacksonville clean up her yard. We are so proud of the work our Rotarians do in our community, and are forever grateful for the help the volunteers from Entergy gave today!

SMSgt Thornburg, USAF, with the Little Rock Air Force Base, discussed Operation Warm Heart, which provides grants and support for Airmen during emergencies or high-cost seasons. The council promotes readiness by providing support for financial, family, and personal issues that could affect an Airman's ability to work.

Congratulations to one of our three scholarship winners! Jaxon Owoh was presented with a plaque and a $2500 check at today's Rotary Club meeting.

We would like to extend our biggest gratitude to Corrie O'Cain of Southern Legacy of Life for coming to our meeting yesterday and sharing with our group our organization and tissue donation changes lives for many Arkansas Families.

Rotarian Tanya Kopp, Executive Director of the Jacksonville Senior Wellness and Activity Center, delivered a presentation about the services and activities provided at the Center. The Jacksonville Center serves Jacksonville, Sherwood, and some of the outlying area by providing food delivery, games and activities, fine arts classes, short trips, and much more to our Senior citizens.

At Tuesday’s Rotary Club meeting, Lauren Fowler and Bart Gray provided our members with information about the Jacksonville Education Foundation. JEF is a non profit organization that provides scholarships for our schools and teachers to fund learning opportunities which include hands-on classroom activities that would not be funded otherwise.
