Rudder Club Junior Sailing Junior members ages 8-18 are invited to participate in the club’s Junior Sailing Program. Supervised sailing and instruction are held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Four boats took the line for the Werewolf Race last week: three J/24s from Florida Yacht Club and the J/29 Cheetah.

With partly cloudy skies, temperatures in the mid-70s and a steady 5–8 knot ENE breeze, sailors made their way from the start off the Rudder Club dock at Marker E to Channel Markers 9, 5 and 3, finishing at the manatee marker off Florida Yacht Club.

Two of our Counselor-in-Training sailors, Ava and Townes, earned their US Sailing Level 1 Instructor certifications this weekend—a huge milestone that marks the beginning of their journey as sailing instructors and mentors.

They grew up in our program, and now they’re ready to give back to the next generation of young sailors. We’re so proud of you both. Your leadership, positivity and love for this program already make a difference.

New to the Race Committee? Join Jon Hamilton for an Intro to the Race Committee and learn the basics of running a series race. Definitely beginner-friendly! RSVP to Jon so we have enough snacks.

🔧 Work Day
Grab your gloves, cordless drill and sunscreen and head to the docks. We’ll tackle lift repairs, finger pier repairs, dock boards and more, weather permitting. Every helping hand counts toward a volunteer day!
