Central Point Elementary celebrated its first ever Winter Walk & Roll Day! The cold didn’t deter these enthusiastic students. They showed up and proudly let passersby know that “CPE Walks!”

A huge thank you to all the schools, students, families, and staff across the Rogue Valley who took part in International Walk & Roll to School Day this past Wednesday. A special shout-out to Orchard Hill Elementary in the Phoenix/Talent School District who organized their first Walk & Roll event in many years! The excitement and participation from students and staff made it a huge success. Way to go Orchard Hill!

Exciting news! Earlier this month, the Jump Start bikes from Cycle Oregon arrived, and bike safety is now in full swing here in Southern Oregon!

These learn-to-ride bikes (perfect for Kindergarten through 2nd grade) are already rolling at Jackson Elementary in Medford. Larger bikes will arrive in late January. A big thank you to for making this possible and helping us get more kids safely riding!

Rogue Valley Safe Routes to School will be at the City of Medford's Safety Saturday this weekend! (Sat Sep 13th from 11 am to 2 pm). Bring your helmet to decorate and come spin the prize wheel! This family-friendly day is designed to bring safety education to life while offering activities everyone can enjoy.

Join us for helmet decorating, coloring pages, free swag and prizes. We are looking for families to join Walking School Buses & Bike Buses! Stop by our table for more info.

This summer in Phoenix and Talent, our summer school and Boys and Girls Club students learned how to be pedestrian pros! From practicing safe crossings on our indoor "street" to a real-world field trip for our final lesson, these kids are now ready to walk with confidence and care. Shoutout to Abraham Lincoln Elementary School in Medford for having one of the biggest bike racks I’ve ever seen—by my count, it could hold at least 88 bikes (maybe more)! 🙌 Let’s see if we can FILL IT UP on National Walk & Roll to School Day this fall! Who’s in? 💪
