Iyla was discharged from the hospital and is now at home with her parents!! What a beautiful day! Praise God and all of the Doctors and Nurses for their love and care these last few months!

I wanted to give everyone following a quick update. The IRS is sitting on our 501(c)(3) approval and that may take a while. Iyla is still in the hospital dealing with a couple of complications but she is such a little fighter! Keep her and her Mom and Dad in your prayers so we can get that little girl home soon!

The Heart of Iyla is a non-profit organization created to help parents of newborns with a congenital heart defect. We serve the states of Florida and Georgia. Iyla is our Grandaughter, she was born with Transposition of the great arteries (TGA). We witnessed first hand the emotional roller coaster our kids dealt with on a daily basis. We did everything we could to help. Our kids have a good family support system but there are so many parents that don’t. Our goal at The Heart of Iyla, Inc. is to assiste those parents with day to day logistics and allow them to focus on their newborn child.
