Congratulations to Pleasant Valley Youth Spring League on their first year as an established Board .
You guys did a Great Job stepping up and doing what was necessary to get everything started in the right direction.
Please make sure you follow the page below for Sign ups next season so your child can be apart of the program.
As we wrap up this season, we just want to take a minute and truly say thank you. ❤️⚾🥎
This year was about so much more than baseball, softball, and weeball. It was about people coming together for our kids and believing in our community.
When this board stepped in, we started with $0, no guidebook, and honestly, most of us had never done anything like this before. We learned as we went. We made mistakes, we adjusted, we stayed up late figuring things out, answered calls and messages nonstop, stressed over weather, uniforms, fields, schedules, finances, and everything in between. We are just regular people, working full-time jobs, showing up every night to clock back in after we just clocked out. But through it all, we kept coming back to one thing: doing our best for these kids.
And because this community gave us grace and gave us a chance, we made it through a successful season together.
Seeing the fields full every night, hearing kids laugh in the dugouts, watching families gather together, and seeing this community show up the way it did reminded us why all of this matters so much.
To our sponsors: thank you for believing in us enough to invest in these kids and this community.
To our parents: thank you for your patience, support, encouragement, and grace while we learned and grew this season.
To our coaches and volunteers: thank you for the countless hours y’all poured into these kids. So much of what happens behind the scenes goes unnoticed, but it absolutely does not go unappreciated.
To PVRSI: Thank you for trusting in us to branch off this season. We are thankful for your support and respect you for all the years of hard work! You truly do not know what all goes into it until you live it every day.
Not only did we work to improve the overall experience on the field, but we also worked hard behind the scenes to lay a strong foundation for the future of this organization. This season, we established and continue to work toward important legal and organizational priorities. We obtained our nonprofit status, strengthened community relationships, and rebuilt connections with people and businesses who truly want to see youth programs in Pleasant Valley succeed. Those things may not always be visible on game nights, but they matter deeply for the future of our kids and this community.
One thing we are especially proud of is that this is the first year we are ending a season in the green financially. That is huge for a program like ours, and it speaks volumes about what can happen when a community comes together and believes in something. We want you to know we are going to continue working hard for this community by applying for grants, building more relationships, seeking more sponsorships, and doing everything we can to continue improving our youth programs year after year.
We know people won’t always agree on every decision, and that’s okay. At the end of the day, we all care deeply about the same thing, these kids and this community.
Nehemiah chapter 4 talks about continuing to build even when things get hard and when opposition rises up against what you’re trying to do. That mindset really fits this season. There were days where criticism felt loud, days where stress felt heavy, and days where it felt like no matter what decision was made, someone would disagree with it. We won’t always get everything right, and we never claimed we would. People will always have opinions. There will always be obstacles, disagreements, and moments that test us. But just like in Nehemiah 4, we keep building anyway because the mission matters more than the noise around it.
And while the regular season is ending, we still have All Stars ahead of us. We want to wish all of those players, coaches, and families the absolute best as they represent our league. We are so proud of each of you and cannot wait to cheer y’all on. ⭐⚾🥎
Now we take that same “keep building” mentality into football season. 🏈 We will continue to support each other and bring families together to grow our community and instill values that these kids will take with them into adulthood.
This community is special. Truly. And if we continue coming together for our kids, there’s no telling what we can accomplish.
Thank y’all for an unforgettable season. As always, if you have questions or need anything, please message us. ❤️
