Piney Woods Community Co-Op

Piney Woods Community Co-Op Piney Woods Homeschool Community is a Cherokee county homeschool group for parents and kids ages 0-18. We meet weekly on Fridays throughout the year.

The group meets every Friday rotating between class days and field trips once a month. Piney Woods Homeschool Community is a homeschool group based in Rusk, Texas. We all work together to educate our children through our own hobbies and interests. We offer classes for ages 0-18 years old. Often fellow moms choose to teach something they are passionate or knowledgeable about. The result is an aweso

me mix of new interests, exciting hobbies and life skills. In addition to class days, we have a monthly field trip, park play days, a STEM group, a Games group, a unit study group, a dance group, a Mom's Night Out., and a Dad's Night Out! Families are required to pay a $150 dollar facility fee per semester, regardless of family size. As a co-operative program, we require that one parent from each family help on class days. There are various areas where moms (or dads!) can serve, including teaching, co-teaching, clean-up, or Snack Shack management. We all work together to clean our facility after class time.

Did you know that our co-op also offers Sports and Dance programs for any homeschooling families—even those not currently enrolled in our co-op? Both sports and Dance have ability we would love for you to join for fall 🩰 and flag football 🏈. Just curious and not sure come for the meeting, new this dance year is a baby Ballet class ages 2-4!
