We are currently seeking individuals to join us in our effort to help our residents, with intellectual disabilities, learn independence.

The ideal candidate is dependable, ready for a new or additional work opportunity, he/she/they have a can-do attitude, and ready to assist in providing self-help skills training and therapeutic treatments to residents with intellectual and/or physical disability. All shifts available in 24 hour facility!

Must be capable of teaching life skills.
Must be patient and caring.
Drive a company vehicle
Support activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing to train residents in daily self-care practices
Converse with residents to reinforce positive behaviors and to promote social interaction
Serve meals and eat with residents
Accompany residents on shopping trips
Restrain disruptive residents to prevent injury to themselves and others, using prescribed methods
Observe and document residents’ behavior, such as speech, feeding patterns
Document, report, and review residents’ daily progress, needs, medical issues, and behaviors Transport or assist in transporting residents to and from medical appointments, activities, school
Lifting required.
Work with residents that are wheelchair users.
Works as a liaison between the home and our residents and law enforcement, social services, client families and other organizations in the community.
Requirements:

· Must be 18 years old.

· Prior to beginning employment, direct service providers must have at least one year of experience in a medical, psychiatric, nursing or childcare setting, working with persons with a developmental disability or possess a CNA degree.

·Must be flexible with work hours. May work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

·Must have reliable transportation.

Job Responsibilities

In this entry level manager role, the Residential Home Manager is responsible for interviewing and hiring Direct Care Assistants, delegating work activities, preparing employee schedules and ensuring that there is adequate staffing coverage at all times.

You will also perform all personal care duties that Direct Care Assistants perform, such as personal hygiene tasks, meal preparation and goal implementation.

Additional responsibilities of the Residential Home Manager include:

- Working closely with clinical and professional healthcare staff to maintain communication and provide feedback, standardizing procedures, and expediting the implementation of person-centered plans.
- Spending adequate amounts of time in the residential facility monitoring and providing feedback to staff on all three shifts in interactions and relationships with people supported, maintaining harmony between employees clients while serving as a positive role model.
- Resolving employee issues and conducting performance reviews.
- Ensuring that employees meet training requirements and attend required events.
- Monitoring select budget items and staying within guidelines.
- Monitoring and providing feedback to employees during all three shifts in interactions and relationships with the people supported.
- Providing after-hours and on-call coverage as part of the direct care rotation.
