Every child deserves to feel included 🫶🏾

Jacksonville Urban League Youth Crime Prevention Director, Monique Johnson, shares how bullying creates an environment of exclusion and harm. She encourages us all to help build spaces where everyone feels heard, valued, respected, and safe.

As part of our Speak Up, Stand Together Anti-Bullying & Anti-Violence Campaign, we challenge our community to break the cycle, reject hate, and choose kindness, empathy, and respect every day. Together, we can create a culture where every voice is heard, every person is valued, and every act of kindness makes a difference.

Everyone deserves to feel respected, valued, and safe 💚

In this powerful message, Jacksonville Urban League Social Justice Intern Chloe Radatz from Georgia Southern reminds us that bullying has lasting consequences, affecting not only those who are targeted but also those who choose to bully others. Whether it occurs in person, online, or through emotional and mental harm, bullying creates wounds that can impact lives long after the moment has passed.

❤️ Everyone is born with worth. Everyone is born with value.

In this powerful message, Jacksonville Urban League General Counsel Dennis Stone shares a lesson he first learned nearly 50 years ago: the story of the IALAC label.

The idea is simple. Every person begins life with a label that says, “I Am Lovable and Capable.” But hurtful words, bullying, exclusion, and negative experiences can leave holes in that label.

The good news?

Kindness can help restore what others have damaged.

A kind word. A helping hand. An act of inclusion. These small actions can remind someone of their worth and help them rebuild confidence, hope, and connection.

As part of our Speak Up, Stand Together Anti-Bullying & Anti-Violence Campaign, we challenge our community to choose kindness every day.
