Volunteers in Medicine, Jacksonville (VIM-Jax) Providing FREE outpatient primary and specialty medical services to Greater Jacksonville’s WORKING uninsured

Our success can be directly attributed to the passion and commitment of more than 230 ACTIVE VOLUNTEER healthcare and non-clinical professionals that perform a wide array of services at our downtown clinic five days a week. These volunteer professionals qualify patients, manage medical records and deliver vital preventative medical care to our patients. On-site program specialties include mental h

ealth counseling, vision and eye care, cardiology and heart disease prevention and maintenance, diabetes and nutrition counseling. Volunteers in Medicine’s signature “Healthy Habits” programs include regular patient wellness events and activities including blood pressure and glucose screenings, mammograms, stress tests, and “Healthy Habits” neighborhood walks.

❤️💛💚 In observance of Juneteenth, Volunteers in Medicine Jacksonville will be closed on Friday, June 19, 2026.

Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and serves as a time to reflect on freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of equity for all.

We will resume normal business hours on Saturday, June 20, 2026.

For weeks, our hardworking neighborhood woodpecker parents have been busy preparing for a very special arrival right outside our clinic doors. They worked tirelessly building a cozy home, and now the wait is over...

🎉 VIM officially welcomes our newest (and loudest!) neighbor — a baby woodpecker! 🎉

Let's just say this little one has already made quite an impression around the clinic. Between the pecking, chirping, and constant reminders that nap time is apparently optional, our newest resident is keeping everyone on their toes! 😂
