Technology is amazing! One of the doctors on our team is a cardiologist, and today he used his smartphone as the display for a portable ultrasound device while examining patients' hearts.

It's incredible to see how advances in medical technology are making it possible to bring specialized care to places that might not otherwise have access to it. What once required a hospital and expensive equipment can now be done in a local church in Nicaragua.

What a blessing to combine modern medicine with the love of Christ as we care for both the physical and spiritual needs of the people we serve.

Day 2 of our Medical Mission is complete, and God continues to open doors for ministry! 🇳🇮

Today we had the privilege of serving at a new church, where the pastor and his church family welcomed us with incredible kindness and hospitality. He worked tirelessly throughout the day to help manage the flow of patients, make our team feel at home, and express his gratitude for serving his community. It was a blessing to partner with a local church that has such a heart for its people.

We were also able to care for members of Bethel Church in Posoltega and Pastor Joe's church, strengthening relationships with our ministry partners and encouraging fellow believers.

It was another long day filled with hard work, but every patient reminded us why we are here. We had the opportunity not only to provide medical care but also to pray with people, encourage them, and share the love and hope of Jesus Christ.

Thank you for continuing to pray for our team. Your prayers are making a difference, and we are grateful for the opportunity to be the hands and feet of Christ to the people of Nicaragua.

To God be the glory! 🇳🇮❤️

Day 1 of our Medical Mission is in the books! 🇳🇮

After arriving late last night, our team was up early this morning, ready to serve with energy and compassion. From the moment the clinic opened, they worked tirelessly to care for every person who came through our doors.

Each patient was treated with dignity, received the medical care they needed, and was prayed for by our team. It has been a beautiful reminder that we are here not only to meet physical needs but also to share the hope and love of Jesus Christ.

Now it's time to catch our breath, prepare supplies, and get some much-needed rest before another full day of ministry tomorrow.

God has assembled an incredible medical team, and it has been a blessing to watch them use their gifts to serve the people of Nicaragua with excellence, humility, and the love of Christ.

Thank you for continuing to pray for our team. Please pray for strength, wisdom, good health, and open hearts as we continue sharing the Gospel and serving the people of Nicaragua.

Sharks in a Lake? The Truth About Nicaragua’s Freshwater Fish 💙🦈🇳🇮
It sounds unbelievable, but Lake Nicaragua in Nicaragua is home to real sharks. The species found there is the bull shark, known for its rare ability to live in both saltwater and freshwater.

These sharks reach the lake by swimming inland from the Caribbean Sea through the San Juan River. While this might sound dangerous, attacks on humans in the lake are extremely rare.
There are a few key reasons for this. Shark populations in the lake are relatively low, and they tend to avoid areas with heavy human activity. Like most sharks, bull sharks do not hunt humans—incidents are typically cases of mistaken identity, not aggression.

For generations, local communities have lived, fished, and traveled on the lake without significant danger. Today, conservation measures have even reduced shark numbers further, making encounters even less likely.

In reality, these “freshwater sharks” are far more a scientific curiosity than a threat—proof of nature’s adaptability rather than something to fear.
