Reminder that tomorrow, Saturday August 29, the Post will open at 12:00 PM and a Celebration of Life for Carl J. Hays III will begin at 1:00 PM.
Carl served American Legion Post 57 in multiple capacities for many years to include as the Post Commander from 2006-2017. He was the current Sons of the American Legion Squadron Commander.
Please come join the family for fellowship and tell your best memory of Carl.

There will be a graveside service for Carl J. Hays III on Friday August 21 at 1000 hours at the Forestlawn Gardens Cemetery 730 Golden Springs Road Anniston, AL. The family respectfully requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the American Legion Post 57 Scholarship Fund PO Box 592 Jacksonville, AL 36265

A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Saturday August 29 at American Legion Post 57, 1511 Pelham Rd. S Jacksonville, AL 36265 with the Post opening at 12:00 pm and the event from 1:00 – 5:00 pm. There will be a slideshow, food and comments presented at 1:00 pm.

Please consider joining both the City of Jacksonville and American Legion Post 57 for the dedication of the Global War on Terrorism Memorial Headstone dedication. This event is to recognize the sacrifice of both the soldiers and their families who gave all in defense of our freedom.

Happy Friday!

We have a busy Fall schedule ahead of us. Due to Legion events and other scheduling conflicts, we decided last night to forgo Post 57 Steak Nights for the remainder of the year! Thanks to those who always support us on the 3rd Saturday of each month!

Don't fret! We have so much packed in this fall for you! Keep your eye on this page for updates and schedules!

Also, don't forget that Sunday, August 16th, we will host our district meeting. This meeting isn't just for officers/executive committee etc. All Legionnaires, Auxiliarists and SAL are welcome! Come see what it's all about and enjoy some good food afterwards!
