JOIN US this summer every last Wednesday of the month for a family-friendly outdoor movement class led by JDT artists. Blending dance, fitness, and creativity, it’s designed for all ages and experience levels.

Move, sweat, and enjoy the joy of dancing together!

💥FACULY ANNOUNCEMENT | SHAPE/SHIFT’26💥

JODIE JERNIGAN

Jodie Jernigan is an interdisciplinary movement artist, choreographer, and educator based in Atlanta, GA. She currently performs with Monica Hogan Danceworks and Graham Shelor Dance and previously danced with Full Radius Dance and SOMOS. Her choreography has been presented at festivals across the Southeast, including the American College Dance Association Festival and Modern Atlanta Dance Festival. In 2025, she premiered her first evening-length solo work, On Guilt & Clementines, at the Atlanta Fringe Festival.

BECCA LEVY

Rebecca R. Levy is a choreographer, performer, and educator based in Jacksonville, FL. As Co-Founder and Artistic Director of Jacksonville Dance Theatre, she creates work that explores the complexities of the human experience through athleticism, humor, and collaboration. Her critically acclaimed choreography has been presented in festivals, films, concerts, and events internationally.

WINTER BOSANKO

Winter Bosanko is an educator, dance artist, and somatic practitioner with an MFA from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. After seven seasons as a company dancer with Jacksonville Dance Theatre, she went on to serve as Company Manager and now as Director of Community Engagement. Winter is also a Professor of Dance at Florida State College at Jacksonville and co-creator of JDT’s Creative Dance In Schools outreach program

FIRST REVEAL 👀

EBONÉ AMOS

Eboné Camille Amos is a performer, choreographer, and educator from Memphis, TN. She is a tenured Associate Professor of African American Studies and Chair of the Theatre and Dance Department at Austin Peay State University, where she teaches dance technique, choreography, and African American history and culture through the arts. Her work has been presented nationally and internationally, including the COCO Festival in Trinidad, the Frist Museum in Nashville, Rhythmically Speaking Dance in Minneapolis, and Jacksonville Dance Theatre.

LOUIS KAVOURAS

Chair of the UNLV Department of Dance and former principal dancer with the Erick Hawkins Dance Company, Louis Kavouras has spent decades advancing modern dance through performance, teaching, and preservation. A master teacher of the Hawkins Technique and nationally recognized educator and choreographer, he most recently reset his acclaimed work ’Episodes of Snow‘ on JDT in 2024, bringing his celebrated artistic lineage directly to Jacksonville, FL.
