A category 4 hurricane is slamming the state of Florida bringing high winds, flooding, and power outages. These are dangerous life threatening conditions and we still have people working all across Amazon in Florida! Shame, shame shame on the bosses! Putting profit before people is Amazon's cruelty!

It is reported that Amazon made 12.7 billion dollars during its Prime Day sales period. What isn't reported is the human cost to Amazon front line employees who make it happen during this time it has been hotter than its ever been anywhere in the world let alone Florida. In Jacksonville buildings have seen temperatures topping 100 degrees with no ventilation and many 911 calls to Amazon's largest facility Jax2 and dozens of reported injuries at Jax3. There's no telling how bad it is in other parts of Florida.

We in the Amazon Labor Union of Florida have been collecting petitions and this no doubt is a threat to Amazon and its ability to demand unsafe rates that put workers at risk. We are calling for workers to slow down and work at safe pace if they feel it necessary to prevent a trip to the hospital. This is human decency at your place of work and everyone has a right to a safe workplace.

The NLRB’s Brooklyn-based regional director has determined that, prior to that election, the company held mandatory “captive audience” meetings at the warehouse in which it threatened that if workers chose the union to represent them, Amazon could use minimum wage pay as the starting point for negotiations..."

Racism and unfair labor practices. Everyday they tell us they hate working people.

U.S. labor board prosecutors plan to accuse Amazon.com Inc. of threatening staff that if they unionized it could propose paying them minimum wage and of punishing an employee for seeking a paid Juneteenth holiday.

Amazon is the second largest employer in America and should take seriously its responsibilities to worker safety and ending COVID. This is yet again another attack on workers by a greedy employer!

All U.S.-based Amazon workers who test positive for Covid-19 will now get up to five days of excused, unpaid leave, the company told workers in a notice.

Amazon absolutely did this in retaliation for the union win. We must continue to organize and teach workers that with a union they will have voice and job security!

According to the New York Times, the dismissals are regarded as the company’s response to the recent unionization victory
