Coffee Shop Review #48: Tous les Jours on Baymeadows

Parking: Decent amount of parking, its in shopping center

Outdoor Seating: No

Indoor Atmosphere: Tous les Jours is a French inspired Korean bakery that is very clean and polished inside. They have a wide variety of fresh breads, cakes, and pastries, hot and cold, most of which is self serve. You grab a tray and then pick what items you want from the cases and then go up to the counter to order your drinks or any other items that require them to make/heat at that moment. With all that variety the only gluten free options were the macarons. They have coffee, teas, and other specialty drinks. There was plenty of seating for everyone. The staff was friendly but the atmosphere is not quite a coffee shop vibe so they are not super engaging.

Food: Their food was great. Other than not having more gluten free options there were no complaints on the food

Coffee: The coffee was good. It was served in a paper cup and I didnt see any real cups for drinks so that’s a ding, but everyone said their coffee was good.

Overview. Everyone enjoyed their time. It’s definitely worth making a visit.

Coffee Shop Review #47: Lucky Goat Coffee in Bartram Park

Outdoor Seating: Yes

Indoor Atmosphere: The inside looks very similar to the one in Deerwood Park and is similar in size but feels smaller because it doesnt have the wall of windows. They are a smaller franchise so they have a polished look but still have the craft shop feel. The drinks were served in to-go cups despite having real cups AND despite me specifically asking for my drink to be in a real cup. Obviously this is a pet peeve of mine. We were obviously there on motorcycles so to-go wasn’t an option and for me to ask for a real cup and then get a paper cup shows how they are trained at this location; turn and burn whereas the other location has always been real cups, and real plates. The food was served in to-go options too. The staff was friendly but not engaging.

Food: Their food was great. They have good quiche options, crossiants, and other pastries. The food is made fresh elsewhere and reheated but they didn’t overheat like other shops have.

Coffee: The coffee is always good. I like my espresso strong and bold and it hit the spot. Everyone seemed to enjoy their coffee. They also have good tea options for the non coffee drinkers

Overview. I like the atmosphere of the other location a little better but I really like this brand. Next time I’ll make sure I get my coffee in a proper cup but I’ll absolutely come back here.

Coffee Shop Review #46: FirePower Coffee in Keystone Heights

Indoor Atmosphere: It was cramped. They are a roastery with a front of house retail shop/cofe that feels like the cafe was an afterthought. They have probably grown in popularity a lot faster than they expected as it was busy, primarily with people picking up orders and leaving. All drinks were served in to go cups but there were real cups available and food was served in to go bags. The staff seemed a little overwhelmed and orders came out late or not at all and we had to remind them of orders. They were nice but seemed to be more engaged in their personal conversations and less with customers’ orders.

Food: They had some croissant and quiche options. The quiche was good but not heated well enough and the center was semi cold. By the time I got my food, after having to enquirer about it, it was essentially the time we wanted to leave. Everyone’s food came out well after their coffee and a couple of us were forgotten.

Coffee: Their coffee was good but the paper cup lowered its quality and the overall experience left an average impression of their coffee.

Overview. I get it, in a small town like Keystone Heights they stand out but if there were competition they would have to quickly address the gaps. If I were in the area and wanted a coffee I would stop in again but probably wouldn’t make a special trip.
