Picture it May 6, 2011, God woke me from a deep sleep and clear as day I heard “beauties from within” and I immediately got up and started journaling all the thoughts He was giving me. After months of planning, frustration, crying, and praying Family First, Clara’s Connection, and Above Academics was derived out of Beauties From Within, Incorporated.

Fast forward Summer of 2012, I held my first Beauties From Within, Inc. interest meeting at the Highlands Library. My mom and I sat there in that meeting room for over an hour and not one person showed up. Disappointed was an understatement. Right as we were preparing to pack up, in walks Joye and Honesty.

Nervously, I introduced myself and the vision that I had for my organization. I apologized for the lack of community support that I had in this interest meeting and Joye immediately stated there was plenty support there, her and her daughter. She immediately signed them up as volunteers. At that moment, I had my very first volunteers outside of my family that believed in me and my vision.

Over the years they both have continued to show up for Beauties From Within, Inc. be it monetarily, physically, or sending their well wishes on community events. For that, I am immensely grateful for your unwavering support to my vision of giving back to our community. They were an inspiration to me and my business back then and they still are today.

With that being said, please help me congratulate Honesty on being the 2024 recipient of the inaugural Above Academics Scholarship. She is being awarded this $500 scholarship to help her continued educational journey this fall at Clark Atlanta University.

Again, thank you Honesty and Joye’ for believing in Beauties From Within Inc. and its vision of Reconnecting Our Community One Man, Woman, and Child At A Time.

Honesty, remember your roots baby girl. Stay true to yourself. While it’s important to adapt and grow, always stay true to your values and beliefs. 💜🦋💕✨

Good morning y’all! As many of you know Beauties From Within Inc. is a nonprofit organization that I founded 12 years ago that is dedicated to making changes in our community. Pre pandemic we stayed in the community giving back be it providing food to hungry, clothing and hygiene bags to those in need, or providing tutoring services to our future. Post pandemic we are determined to pick up where we left off but we need your support. If you or your organizations or businesses would like to donate or just come out and support it would be greatly appreciated. Please reach out to me directly and I would be more than happy to have you serve with us.

Beauties From Within Inc. is gearing up for its Annual Community Cookout to celebrate their 12th year of giving back to the community we all call home. To make this event a success we need your assistance.

* Full Size Bars of individually wrapped soap
* Full size deodorant
* Rolls of toilet tissue individually wrapped if at all possible
* Sanatary Napkins and Tampons
* Gallon and Quart Size Ziplock Bags

Spread the word! The Free Summer Lunch Program at the Jacksonville Public Library will officially kick off on June 6th! To help ensure that kids don't go hungry while school is out of session, free and nutritious meals are available for children and teens 18 and younger at many library locations.

From June 6th through August 5th, all kids up to 18-years-old can get a free meal at nine Jacksonville Public Library locations. At these library locations, no signup or application is necessary and any child 18 or younger can simply come during meal times to receive a free and healthy meal. While children are at the library eating lunch, they can check out books and also participate in other fun activities the library puts on throughout the summer such as storytimes, crafts, and the Summer Learning program. Bring the crew for Summer Learning, and they can receive a meal that includes protein, fruit or veggie, and a drink.

Monday – Friday: 12 PM – 1 PM
